Sheila's musical career began as a child
in the Salvation Army in which her father, George Snook, was Divisional Bandmaster for the
South and West of England.
By the age of fifteen, Sheila had passed all her examinations with the Associated Board of
the Royal School of Music in both singing and pianoforte and went on to gain her Diploma
as a Licentiate of Trinity College, London specialising in Class Music Teaching.
Sheila spent several years teaching music in a local comprehensive school before deciding
to concentrate full time on her own Kentwood School of Music which now provides tuition in
voice production, composition, pianoforte, the theory of music and stage technique.
She is the Founder and Musical Director of the Kentwood
Choir, the Kentwood Junior Choir, the Kentwood Kompany and the Kentwood Childrens
Chorus. |
